X's NSFW Policy Update

Although many content creators and OnlyFans users know Twitter/ X is one of the only remaining platform that accepts NSFW content, X never formally recognized it in terms and conditions. X has updated its policy on adult content. Users can share consensually produced adult nudity or sexual behavior, provided it is properly labeled and not prominently displayed. The platform supports the creation and distribution of sexual-themed material as a legitimate form of artistic expression, emphasizing adult autonomy in engaging with such content.

Key points of the policy include:

• Definition of Adult Content: Material depicting full or partial nudity, explicit or implied sexual behavior intended for sexual arousal, including AI-generated, photographic, or animated content such as cartoons, hentai, or anime.
• Content Restrictions: Prohibits content that promotes exploitation, non-consent, objectification, sexualization, harm to minors, or obscene behaviors. Adult content is not allowed in highly visible places like profile photos or banners.
• Labeling Requirements: Users posting adult content must adjust their media settings to place images and videos behind a content warning. Failure to do so will result in Platform X adjusting account settings.
• Access Restrictions: Users under 18 or those without a birth date on their profile cannot view marked content.
• Reporting and Appeals: Users can report unmarked content or policy violations using the in-app reporting feature. Appeals can be submitted if users believe a mistake was made.
