However, due to the difficulty of curating highly engaging pages without a reliable filter system, the group-finding feature was removed, then brought back shortly after. Unfortunately, the damage was already done.

Despite years of operations, the identities of the admins remain shrouded in mystery, and they are infamous for being non-responsive. On May 31, 2024, Quotev administrators decided to remove several key features, including the activity feed and location under taglines. Additionally, they plan to eliminate groups and messages in July. This update has sparked significant backlash among users, who feel these changes undermine the social aspects of the platform. Many users, including the author of this petition, believe these features are essential for making friends and maintaining community interactions on Quotev. As of now, Quotev has yet to provide a response.
